Laya Shawl — Charcoal
€285,00
Named for Laya, the village at 3,800 metres where the yak herders live below the Tibetan border. Charcoal, cut wide — closer to a blanket you can wear than to a scarf.
Woven by hand, so no two pieces are identical. Small variations in colour, width and weave are the evidence of the loom, not a fault.

Priced by loom-days
We price our work by loom-days — the number of days a piece spends on the loom. It is the only measure that reflects what a handwoven textile actually costs to make.
Care
Dry clean, or hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild wool detergent. Spin for no longer than five minutes, reshape while damp, and dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight.
All products are made to order, after payment confirmation.
