Bed Throws
The largest pieces we make, and the ones that take the longest on the loom. Each is woven in narrow panels of Bhutanese highland wool, then joined by hand with a cream cross-stitch — the Chumey seam — left visible rather than hidden.
Our bed throws are named for the motifs of Bhutanese iconography: norbu the wish-fulfilling jewel, dorji the thunderbolt, khorlo the wheel, pema the lotus. Every piece is made to order in our Thimphu atelier and priced by loom-days.
