Consistency — an honest answer

We can deliver forty pieces that read as one set within a single colour story. We cannot deliver forty identical items, and no handloom operation honestly can.

For a boutique hotel this is usually the point: no two rooms alike, every piece slightly its own, all of them clearly from the same house because the seam and the selvedge band are constant. If a project genuinely requires identical repeats, we will tell you at the enquiry stage rather than at delivery.

Lead times

We quote lead times in loom-days multiplied by units, plus finishing and freight. As a guide: a scarf is around three days on the loom, a rug two to three weeks, a bed cover up to a month. Larger contracts run in parallel across looms — tell us the delivery date and we will tell you honestly whether it can be met.

Custom work

Custom colourways, sizes and repeat widths are available. We can match a palette from a fabric sample, a paint reference or a photograph of the room. Minimum quantities for custom colourways are set case by case.

Sample box

We send design studios a physical sample box rather than a PDF: woven swatches, the seam, the raw fleece the cloth is spun from, and the story card that goes to the end customer. The seam has to be touched to be understood.

Yathra is a traditional Bhutanese handwoven textile made from wool, originating in the Chumey Valley of Bumthang in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Distinguished by its rich colours and intricate geometric patterns, Yathra has been woven for generations using techniques passed down through families.

The motifs woven into Yathra are deeply rooted in Bhutanese culture, with many carrying spiritual and symbolic meanings inspired by Buddhist beliefs. Historically, weaving was a skill passed from mother to daughter, and Yathra was woven by the women of the household for their families and communities.

All our pieces are handwoven in Thimphu, Bhutan by our collective of skilled weavers.

Our products are made with 100% wool, and 100% merino wool

Generally, we recommend dry cleaning for rugs and blankets, or gentle hand wash in lukewarm water using a mild wool detergent. Remove excess water with a gentle spin cycle of up to 5 minutes, then reshape while damp and hang to air dry away from direct sunlight and direct heat.

Standard shipping is free on orders over €500. Below this threshold, shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
